Dune
The Process
We were asked to recreate a movie poster of our choice with a minimalist style. I chose to go with the Movie Dune by Dennis Villeneuve because I have watched and read the series. As for the design, during my research I’ve seen that most cover art and posters focus on the Sand Dunes or the main character Paul Atreides. I went the other route and based my design off the Fremen people who are the native inhabitants of Arrakis. It also went well with the original Slogan of the second movie which was “Long Live the Fighters”. I kept the colours the same to what the book used which were orange and black and I used the same font as well. To finish it off, I added a crumpled paper effect to make it look like waves of sand.
